•The department offers M.Phil& Ph.D. Research Degrees as regular courses.
•It is proposed to organise more programmes on research and its methodologies to enable students to contribute to quality research.
•Some research Project proposals have been submitted under national funding agencies like RUSA,ASHTADASHI & STRIDE.
•Research Area is Indian Philosophy in general ,Vedanta and Samkhya-Yoga philosophy in particular

1.Children's Literature Project- Kindle books of Panchatantra and Hitopadesh (Principal Investigator- Prof Madhusudan Penna and Co- P.I.- Dr. Parag Joshi) . Rs. 250000/-is funded by Rashtriya Sanskrit Samsthan, New Delhi under ASHTADASHI.
2.Integrating Sanskrit with Modern subject- Integrating Sanskrit Learning with mass communication (Principal Investigator- Dr.KalapiniAgasti) Rs. 250000/-is funded by Rashtriya Sanskrit Samsthan , New Delhi under ASHTADASHI. .
Proposed –
1. Translation of PatanjalaYogsutras along with Vyasa Bhashya and BhojaVritti in Marathi under RUSA Project.
