It emphasizes expansion and impact of Sanskrit in various fields. Sanskrit was, is and will remain the prosperous heritage language of India. The most ancient and available document that got registered into the world literature was ‘Rigveda’ written in Sanskrit language. The verbal traditions of Sanskrit language only could secure and preserve the primeval treasure of knowledge for the world. We the followers and learners of Sanskrithave thus got this immensely important responsibility to take conserve this practice of knowledge sharing and propagating.
Each and every element of the emblem is incorporated thoughtfully. The ‘Samai’ that is Lamp in the center symbolizes that Sanskrit is just like the lamp that is mild yet powerfully showing the path of knowledge though its peculiar qualities like calmness, sacredness and guiding force. The light that is spread by the lamp inspires professors, students, incomers, staffers, guests, Sanskrit learners and everyone related to university to progress more in the field of this Devavani. The language turns into your guide when you are facing challenges and fills you with required power in your struggling phase.
Books are just the representation of treasure of Sanskrit language. It simply demonstrate the correlation between various sciences taught in the university and connection of Sanskrit to modern languages.
What are these Sciences? These sciences are symbolized as petals of flower. Along with the Veda’s, Smriti’s, Poetry and ancient scriptures Sanskrit is also accepted world wide as the language of Computers. It can underline the golden connect of prehistoric sciences to the recent technologies. Thus Sanskrit university has added the science and technologies into the syllabus. This keeps the university in pace with rest of the world. Students thus stay in touch with the global trends while learning the origin language.
The tagline / slogan, “Rashtrahitay Sanskaritam” is the basis of entire logo. IT put forward the magnanimous intention of being a nation lover at the same time being a world citizen by constantly contributing to nation building and not limiting to self- centered thoughts of own self, family etc. This process includes reaching out to world with Sanskrit without making a hype of caste, religion, language, tradition and culture. It is focused on doing our bit in nation building by creating awareness about language. What is the intention of establishing this University? What is the motive? Exactly this has been explained explicitly and in very compact manner in our slogan. University is trying hard to live up to its commitments.
Two lotus buds surround the slogan. These are the students, learners who are keen on learning Sanskrit language and are excited to bloom into flowers. Any person at point of any age can learn Sanskrit. There is no age bar and no conditions to have a pre- knowledge of Sanskrit. One can defiantly get the ‘Sanskar’s of Sanskrit by a self- learning and become “Su-Sanskrit”.
The circle represents the tradition of Guru- Shishya, Teacher and Student, Researcher- Guide and similar combinations. University has taken up this task of creating such ideal duo or society and these people in turn add glory to university. In a way this tradition works a mirror for University as it reflects the face of university.
