About NSS

The National Service Scheme (NSS) is a Central Sector Scheme of Government of India, Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports. It provides opportunity to the students at colleges and University level of India to take part in various government led community service activities & programmes. The Motto of NSS "Not Me But You", reflects the essence of democratic living and upholds the need for self-less service. NSS helps the student’s development & appreciation to other person's point of view and also show consideration towards other living beings

Aim and Objective

  • To provide hands on experience to young students in delivering community service develop among themselves a sense of social and civic responsibility.
  • To utilize knowledge in finding practical solutions to individual and community problems.
  • To develop competence required for group-living and sharing of responsibilities.

NSS at KKSU

Kavikulaguru Kalidas University has started NSS activities in the year 2008. Initially we started with 200 volunteers and now we are having 600 Volunteers and 8 Units. We have adopted 2 Villages under NSS. One is Morava in Chandrapur district & another is Khasarmar in Nagpur district. Every year we organise Tree plantation, Cleanliness drive, Blood donation camps, Disaster management training. Special camps and many more activities.
