About Veda and Vyakran

Department of Veda and Vyakarana of Kavikulaguru Kalidas Sanskrit University is actively running under Faculty of Vedavidya since 2003-04. In order to impart the knowledge of Vedic literature, Sanskrit Grammar and Linguistics the dept. has designed many courses which are running since its establishment. Being established in central India , The University and the Deptt. attracts many students from all over India to its campus every year. The Dept.has been engaged in academic pursuits since its inception.

The Department is very much aware about its social responsibilities. To make a bridge between the University and the Society the Dept. organizes various public lectures, seminars, workshops, spoken Sanskrit camps which attracts the public to be associated with the University. The Dept. has flourished with scholarly faculties who perform their duties with utmost sincerity for the maximum benefit of the students ,University and Society as well. Use of traditional and modern teaching methodologies in teaching Sanskrit Vyakaran by its skilled faculties prepare students to face the challenges in future.

Aims and Objectives

• Conserving Ancient Indian Shastra Tradition.
• Imparting Shastra Tradition in Veda and Vyakarana.
• Encouraging students in the Research in Sanskrit Grammar and Veda as well.
• Editing and publishing of unpublished Grammatical Texts.
• Critical edition of various ancient Grammatical Texts.
• Popularizing Sanskrit Grammar through e-texts and e-methods with the fine blend of Traditional and modern teaching methodologies.

Distinguished Features

• The Dept.organizes S.A. Dange lecture series on Various topics of Veda and Vyakaran for its students and public as well.
• To make its students and common man familiar with spoken Sanskrit the Dept.with the help of faculties and students organizes Spoken Sanskrit camp in the campus and public places also.
• The Dept. prepares its students for Shastrarth Parishad to make them competent in Shastras. It helps students to understand the traditional way of interpreting Shastras.The Dept. through this innovative way serve its objective to conserve an ancient Indian Shastra Tradition.
• To make students familiar with the basic concepts of Sanskrit Grammar and its applications in The language, the Dept.organizes Seven Days workshop on various topics of Sanskrit Grammar.
• Scholarly faculties of the Dept.train students to participate in various National and State level Academic and Cultural competitions.Students have won some awards to the Dept.
